QBurst Emerges Runner-Up in All Kerala Corporate Cricket Cup

The QBurst Cricket Team at Trivandrum has won the runners-up title at the All Kerala Corporate Cricket Cup tournament held on July 23-24 at Kakkanad, Kochi. 

Earlier, the team had won Pool B after beating strong rivals CTS, CaBot, and KPMG, and entered the semifinals after trouncing Agappe, winners of the 2022 Citroen Cup. Terrific bowling by Sreekanth and batting by Vishal Viswanathan and Aswanjith helped the team coast to victory.

The final match was played between QBurst and SIB. Amjad 43(19) and Vishal 15(15) displayed great batting skills and put up 40+ runs on the scoreboard in the first 3 overs. SIB put up a good bowling attack and wrapped up QBurst’s innings for 63/3 in the stipulated 6 overs. The odds swung in SIB’s favor when their player Rakesh Mohan scored a quick-fire 35(11).

The runners-up team members are Sreekanth Sasidharan (C), Aswanjith Jayakumar (VC), Rajesh Kumar, Vishal Viswanathan, Vishnu Anil, Muhammed Amjad, Abin Ismail, Padmanabhan MR (WK), Anandhu Panicker, and Sameer Sharaffuddin.
